Sri Lanka Tourist Visa Requirements for Bangladeshi
A tourist visa serves as an official authorization allowing individuals to enter a foreign country for the purpose of leisure and tourism.
1. Passport: To apply for the tourist visa, the applicant must submit their original passport, which should have been issued within the last 10 years and possess a minimum of six months’ validity beyond the intended departure date. Additionally, the passport must have two consecutive blank pages, and any hand-written alterations are not permissible. A clear photocopy of all pages, including the front and back, must be provided. If the applicant has an old passport, it should be included as well.
2. Visa Application Form: All applicants are required to fill out the Visa Application Form online, providing accurate and complete information.
3. Photograph: Two recently taken passport-size photos (3.5mm X 4.5mm) are to be submitted. The photos must feature a frontal view of the applicant against a white background. Wearing glasses in the photos is not allowed, with the exception of prescription eyewear.
4. Cover Letter: A personalized cover letter addressed to “The Visa Officer, Embassy of [Country Name], [City]” is necessary. The letter should contain the applicant’s personal details, purpose of the visit, and information regarding the party responsible for covering the trip’s expenses. The subject line of the letter must clearly indicate the Visa category.
5. Forwarding Letter: An official letter from the applicant’s employer on the organization’s letterhead is required. The letter should mention the applicant’s name, designation, passport number, purpose of the visit, assigned roles during the trip, duration of the visit, contact details, and other relevant information.
6. Plan of The Tour: The applicant must submit a detailed itinerary of their tour, specifying the duration of stay and the intended places to visit.
7. Office ID Card: Three copies of the applicant’s office ID card/visiting card need to be submitted.
8. Company Memorandum: If the applicant is the owner/managing director of a company or holds a directorial position, a clear scanned copy of the Company Memorandum is necessary.
9. Personal Bank Statements: The applicant must present their personal bank statements for the last six months. The statements should include the bank’s name, telephone number, and be stamped and signed by an authorized bank representative.
10. Personal ITR Certificate: The applicant must provide their income tax return certificate for the last three years.
11. Company Bank Statements: If the trip is sponsored by a company, bank statement copies for the last six months from the sponsoring company or party must be submitted. The statements should clearly display the bank’s name, telephone number, and bear the authorized bank stamp and signature.
12. Company ITR Certificate: In case the company sponsors the trip, the applicant needs to submit the company’s income tax return certificate for the last three years, duly legalized by legal authorities.
13. Airline Ticket Itinerary: A confirmed itinerary for the applicant’s airline ticket, aligned with the trip’s schedule and return plans, is required.
14. Hotel Reservation: The applicant must provide a confirmed itinerary for their accommodation, including the names of the hotels or resorts corresponding to the trip’s schedule.
